Although there is no man in my life... I still think this song is so adorable! And beautifully sung! I recently heard this song while watching Shrek Forever After. I watched this most recent installment of Shrek with my family. The park down the street played it on a big screen. We all cuddled under blankets and the stars and watched Fiona and Shrek fall in love again. awwwww... Someday I'll be like Shrek and be able to say Darling I Do! :)

Pomp and Circumstance

It's only fitting that amongst all the Pomp and Circumstance of the day, that it is the song of the day! Today we had Josh's graduation party. We ate so many of his favorite foods and I'm still stuffed! I can't believe that my little bubbie has successfully completed high school! Congrats to the Canyon High School "Ones"! (That's what they call themselves as the class of '11). At the graduation they played the classic song as the students walked down the football field. It always reminds me of the girlscout reindeer song to the tune.... my reindeer flies sideways, she's better than yours, my reindeer can cha-cha, she can open up doors". But nevertheless, I feel old now, Disneyland tommorow to celebrate, Josh moves off to college in 2 months, and the party was a success!

Oh, Happiness

Today felt like a blog writing sort of day. But I didn't have a specific song in mind. I really wanted to write about my day so far so i just decided to let itunes pick a song. Needless to say, the song I chose was not selected by my itunes. A David Crowder Band song started to play and I decided to stick with them for 3 reasons. I picked my favorite song from them that perfectly describes me, Oh, Happiness. So first, DC*B its because they just announced their last tour as a band. They are working on their last CD right now, and although that is kind of sad, it also makes me think of all the time I was fortunate enough to see them in concert. And how every time I wanted to pet David's beard. But they have great worship songs that are unlike any other because I feel like I can worship by dancing to their songs. The hand motions we learned to "No One Like You" and the do-si do-ing to "I Saw the Light" and the list goes on forever and ever and ever and ever and ever.... David Crowder Band truly has an amazing gift that I'm so glad they shared with us.
The second reason I have a lot of happiness is today, I go to film my scenes for a webseries. Some people from my school held auditions, and now I can say that it was definitely worth waking up early and auditioning a couple weeks ago. I was 'Flabby Abby' who isn't so flabby anymore. And besides just getting through all my lines, I really enjoyed it. I love being in front of a camera. Although my dog would bark and ruin shots, it was fun filming at my house! The hardest part? acting while being cross-eyed! The best part? Officially being SAG eligible! Now if I could somehow find the money to join the most expensive and exclusive acting union.....
And finally, before this blog becomes a long rant, I will say that I am full of joy and Happiness because I have a Heavenly Father who loves me! That doesn't need much explanation. I was blessed with the acting opportunities, I am blessed with ears to hear music, and I am blessed with my wonderful family. We have food on the table and a roof over our heads so I have every reason to be happy. Be happy, don't worry! :)

Outta My Mind

Anthem Lights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay so I know in the short amount of time that I have been blogging, I have already done one of their songs. But once I tell you about my weekend you will understand why I am Outta My Mind for Anthem Lights. So katie and I were crazy enough to drive up to Fresno just for a concert. It was in such a small little church. But the good thing about small concerts is that you get to stand right up agaisnt the stage in the center. and then the band sings directly too you. and then recognize you from the music video you made to their song. and then laugh when you dance funny. and then talk to you for like fifteen minutes after the show. Thank you Jesus for loving me and creating beautiful boy bands with beautiful boys. I'm in love......

I Love You This Big

Dim the lights.... and the winner of the tenth season of American Idol is..... SCOTTY McCREERY! But watching last night's finale was like no other season. Not because it was 2 country stars or because they were the youngest top 2 ever, but because I WAS IN THE NOKIA THEATRE! I got to be a seatfiller for the finale! And yes it was amazing! We were surrounded by past idols, famous people, and all the amazing performers. And get this.... Andrew Garcia stood right next to me! I waved to kevin Covina! I warmed up the producer's seat! Mark Walberg asked me what time it was! And... Kris Allen sat directly behind me! And on top of that I saw scotty sing his single, I Love You This Big with my very own eyes!

What Time Is It?

IT'S SUMMER TIME! True statement. I took my last 2 finals today (they were my only 2) and now I am done with community college! I took my Italian final and used a blue book for the first time for my english final. The hand cramps and numb thumb from all the writing were worth it cause now its summer! But now I must halt the excitement and sign up for some summer school classes. But hopefully the sun will come out for some real California beach weather! Nonetheless, this video has lots of hot! Benny and the Jets

Today is a sad day. The last unique person was voted off of American Idol. I voted for Haley for like a whole hour last night! But then again, if the world wasn't a popularity contest than Casey and James would still be 'in it to win it' too. I first loved Haley when she first sang Benny and the Jets on top of a piano during Elton John week about a month ago. And tonight, she sang it as her goodbye song. But the good news is she will be back next week for the finale performances! And maybe, just maybe, she will announce her speculated secret relationship with Casey. But until that happens you can watch tonights performance here....Benny and the Jets.

Volare

Mi piace la classe d'italiano! Today was the last class before the final! We have too much fun trying to study for the final on monday. Me, and le regazze cattive, ed la mamma fresca started singing this song in class but professore didn't really appreciate our rendition. And on top of all the italian-ness of the day, me and some friends got gelato after class. It was delicious! and the owner even helped us practice our Italian! Il gelato e buono!
And just a side note: I love this song because it is in my favorite movie: Father of the Bride. My dad and I love that movie. And the main girl even finds her man in Rome. Che perfetto!

Procrastinating

I felt like this song would be very appropriate because today I turned an essay in. I knew about it for about 2 weeks but chose to start it sunday night. I know, that was really stupid. My mom tells me that all the time. But for some reason my best motivation is pressure and a time crunch. I even managed to write the works cited pages between classes and print it in the library. I'm a professional procrastinator. Thank you Stellar Kart for writing a song about me... I mean PROCRASTINATING!

California Girls

No. Not Katy Perry's version where she likes to suck on popsicles... But the classic Beach Boys. I chose this song because yesterday afternoon I went to California Adventures with my mom and my sister. This is one of the songs they play in the "Sunshine Plaza". The weather was nice and the Mission Tortilla factory had the flour tortillas so the adventure was a success! Sophie loved going on the Golden Zephyr although I felt like I was going to fall in the World of Color water. And we figured out the secret to the Bug's Life Lady Bug ride... you have to sit by the door and it will spin more than the teacups! We got our picture with Jesse and even waited in the Toy Story Mania Line. And a first yesterday was Watching Muppet Vision 3D. It was cute. But while running into the theatre Sophie had a Cinderella moment becuase her show fell off. Although our move to Orange County was difficult at first, a year later I can say that the OC is awesome, mainly because I can go to Disneyland anytime!

A Year Without Rain

Don't judge me, but I like Selena Gomez. I am in no way admitting that I listen to Radio Disney. But I can say that I finally bought her new CD. And her voice has definitely matured from her last album. I felt like I owed it to Selena to buy it. I know that sounds stupid, but before the first Selena & The Scene, there was a contest for the best promo video. And the previsouly mentioned Katie and I spent countless hours making our video. We probably didn't win cause we were the oldest ones who made a video. True dedication. But if you want to see us goofing around, and publicly making fools of ourselves, click here . Anyway, I got her CD and my favorite is the 2nd track. The year without this CD has been like a year without rain.

Can't Shut Up

On this Tuesday, the 10th of May, a new CD came out from the band ANTHEM LIGHTS. This is their first album and I am so excited. I first heard anthem lights at a concert in Ontario a couple months ago. While they were playing their set I waited impatiently for the next band. I turned to my bff Katie and asked her if I should take a picture just in case we liked them later. We laughed and decided to sit down and save our energy for the next band. But boy band were we wrong. After the concert when they were sitting at their autograph table we noticed that the band consisted of 4 hot guys. So we changed our minds. And ever since that day I have listened to their songs on youtube and followed along on twitter. And today I Can't Shut Up about this terrific song. It has a catchy tune and meaningful lyrics.
